Colin Moorehead

Colin Moorhead – Non-Executive Chairman

BSc (Hons) FAusIMM (CP) GAICD

Colin has worked in exploration and mining for 3 decades since graduating from the University of Melbourne with a BSc. (Hons) majoring in geology and geophysics in 1987. Most of his career was spent with Newcrest Mining Limited where amongst other roles he was Chief Geologist for periods at Telfer (WA), Cadia (NSW) and Gosowong (Indonesia) mines before returning to Melbourne as General Manager Technical Services for the Newcrest Group in 2006. In 2008 Colin was appointed Executive General Manager Minerals responsible for global exploration, mining geology, resources and reserves governance and orebody knowledge. Colin left Newcrest in August 2015 and in January 2016 was appointed Chief Executive Officer of emerging Indonesian gold producer PT Merdeka Copper Gold, Tbk.

Colin is currently President of the AusIMM.

Colin is also a Graduate of AICD and a graduate of Harvard Business School, Advanced Management Programme (AMP).

Roderick Webster – Independent Non-Executive Director

Mr Roderick Webster is a mining engineer (University of Sydney) with over 40 years of experience in the resources industry including more than 16 years as CEO of publicly listed companies. He is Chairman of Riversgold Ltd, an ASX listed gold exploration company, and a Director of CORO Mining Corp, a Canadian listed copper producer with operations in Chile.

From 2005 to 2015 Mr Webster was a founding Director and CEO of Weatherly International Plc, a company engaged in copper mining and smelting in Namibia. Between 2001 and 2005 Mr Webster was a senior executive with First Quantum Minerals Ltd, a Canadian listed company developing copper mines in Zambia and Mauritania. Mr Webster was also the founding Director and CEO of Western Metals Ltd, a major Australian base metals producer during which time he served on the executive committee of the International Zinc Association. Earlier in his career Mr Webster held management positions with Homestake Gold of Australia Ltd and BHP Minerals Ltd.

Mr Webster is a Fellow of both the Australian Institute of Mining and Metallurgy and the Australian
Institute of Company Directors.

Mark Sherman – Independent Non-Executive Director

B App Sc and GradDip

Mark is a Metallurgist (WA School of Mines) with 36 years of experience encompassing the design, operation and optimisation of base metal and gold processing plants. He is currently a Fellow and Subject Matter Expert for a major international engineering company and is also a well-known author and presenter in the field of comminution, specialling in SAG mill based circuits.

Gavin A Caudle – Non-Executive Director

BCom, CA

Mr Gavin Caudle has over 20 years experience in the finance and investment sectors in Australia, Singapore and Indonesia. He was previously a partner in the Arthur Andersen Jakarta office and Country Head for Indonesia of the Investment Bank, Salomon Smith Barney. Since 2003, together with his partners, Mr Caudle has developed numerous successful businesses including Tower Bersama Group (a telecommunications infrastructure business) and Provident Agro (a plantation business) with assets valued at more than $1 billion.

Gordon T Galt – Non-Executive Director

BE (Mining)

Mr Gordon Galt is a mining engineer with over 40 years’ experience. He is currently a Principal of Taurus Funds Management, Chairman of Delta SBD Limited and Nucoal Resources Limited. He was formerly Chairman of Discovery Metals Limited and Managing Director of Newcrest Mining Limited among other roles.

Michael Anderson – Alternate for Mr Galt

PhD, Geology

Mr Anderson has over 20 years’ industry experience, largely in southern Africa and Australia. His career commenced as a geologist with Anglo American, followed by roles in the metallurgical and engineering industries with Mintek, Bateman and Kellogg Brown & Root. He subsequently held senior management positions including Corporate Development Manager at Gallery Gold Limited, and Managing Director at Exco Resources Limited, where he oversaw the successful development of the White Dam Gold Project, and the sale of the Company’s Cloncurry Copper Project to Xstrata. He joined Taurus Funds Management as a Director in August 2011. Taurus is a major shareholder of Base Resources, with Mr Anderson appointed as Taurus’ nominee on the Base Resources Board.

Susan Hunter – Company Secretary

BCom, ACA, F Fin, GAICD, AGI

Ms. Hunter has over 23 years’ experience in the corporate finance industry. She is founder and managing director of consulting firm Hunter Corporate Pty Ltd, which specialises in the provision of corporate governance and company secretarial advice to ASX listed companies, and has previously held senior management roles at Ernst & Young, PricewaterhouseCoopers and Bankwest, both in Perth and Sydney.

Susan holds a Bachelor of Commerce, is a Member of the Australian Institute of Chartered Accountants, a Fellow of the Financial Services Institute of Australasia, a Graduate Member of the Australian Institute of Company Directors and an Associate of the Governance Institute of Australia Ltd.
